The seminar led by Marietta Kruzel-Sosnowska (on faculty at F.Chopin University of Warsaw) took place at University of Chicago on May 5, 2008. The Composition Department Graduate Students had opportunity to listen to Mrs. Kruzel-Sosnowska's speech and analyze one of the Marian Sawa's greatest organ works - 'Ecce Lignum Crucis'. The meeting was the young American Students' first contact with Sawa's music so far, and it was very well received. The lecture was possible thanks to the invitation of Prof. Marta Ptaszyńska, a faculty member of the above-mentioned American university.
