MARIAN SAWA
- Composer, organist, improviser, teacher
- Born on January 12, 1937 in Krasnystaw
- Died on April 27, 2005 in Warsaw
EDUCATION:
- First violin, piano and organ lessons from his father
- 1951-1955: student of the Salesian Fathers' Organist School in Przemyśl (Poland)
- 1955-1958: organ student of the State J. Elsner Secondary Music School in Warsaw
- 1958-1963: student of the F. Chopin Academy in Warsaw (former PWSM) at Prof. Rączkowski's organ class. Master of Arts degree (in organ performance) in 1963
- 1962-1968: student of the composition department at the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. Primarily as a student of Piotr Perkowski, later - under the guidance of Prof. Kazimierz Sikorski. Graduation: 1968 - master's degree in composition
